Frequently Asked Questions
What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership that supports an individual to reach goals, overcome challenges, get unstuck, and move toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life.
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
Coaches help individuals make changes in their lives, gain momentum, discover themselves, become the person they know they are deep inside, and achieve goals that are in alignment with their values and priorities.
Are you certified?
Yes! I am a Certified Life Coach (CLC) and also hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation.
I’ve never been coached before. How does the process work?
After reviewing your initial information, you will be contacted for a free consultation. During our time together, we will clarify the goals you have for coaching, answer any questions you have, and determine if we are a good client/coach fit.
If we are in agreement about working together, we then schedule our first coaching session and begin.
To be clear, you will need to show up, be open, and do the challenging work of moving your life forward. Making change isn’t easy but taking responsibility for your choices and life is imperative in order to move ahead.
In between sessions, you will be taking the actionable steps necessary to create the shifts you desire. All wins will be celebrated, no matter how large or small.
How long does coaching typically last?
Coaching typically lasts between 3-6 months. Some clients choose to extend beyond that time frame. Most clients meet with their coach 3x a month. Sessions are 1 hour in length.
What kinds of goals could clients set for themselves in this process?
Anything that is meaningful to you! The beautiful thing about coaching is that the goals chosen are as diverse as our individuality!
